The next family ride is June10th, Saturday at Buck Bald. You will meet at 11am at Bear Paw Gas station on the 4lane in Murphy. It's across the street from the big flea market.
We are still involved with Fires Creek, I hope you all are reading Sue's emails and Charlie wrote a great letter he sent out. So did Bob and Sharon Goggins. We can't save this wonderful area if we sit back and do nothing. If you don't know what to do, come to the meeting and we'll tell you.
Our St. Jude Ride was so nice. We had 37 riders and the camp ground was packed. Everyone one had a great time and the weather held out for us. I don't know the full amount we got, but it was well over a $1,00.00. What a great club we have!!

February 2008 Newsletter
Hello Everyone,
We are going to have a speaker at the next meeting, which is Feb. 14th. Lawrence Beal is going to speak to us about the County Mounties. Please try to come and invite a friend. We will be looking at logos for the new tee shirts and will have the sizes there to try so you will be ready to order very soon. Jenny has been working on this and we hope to get this going. Don't forget to bring any maps or hand written trails that might be of interest. We are trying to make a book for the club’s use and any new member.
Darrell has a very nice trail horse for sale. He is 5 yrs. old and Darrell rode him a lot, so he is very good on the trails and loads good. If you are looking for a good trail horse, he is at Charlie and Barbara Kissling’s place. Call them to set up a time to see him.
Our St. Jude ride is set up for April 26th at Fires Creek, if the weather is good we could make it a camp out too! Mark your calenders now.
As a lot of you know Darrell is doing better, he is getting around and he and Janet have bought a new camper so they can come and join in the fun. Don't give up on those prayers. Darrell still has a way to go and he and Janet thank you all for all your caring thoughts and prayers.
We will be starting up the Sat. Rides soon as it warms up, so get those horses ready!
Since this has been a long winter, I get lots of calls for hay. If you find some and want to pass it along for other club members, just let me know.
We camped at Hunter camp a couple of weeks ago and everyone had fun. It was Doug and Sue's first trip with their new LQ horse trailer. Susan needed a beer when she got there, but all in all she did good. Hope they have many more great trips.
We have had a lot of winter colds going around, so bundle up and stay warm.
Until next time,
Happy Trails,
Esther

It is our planning meeting for the next year and people will be appointed to do a program each month. I am your first person and will have a good program for you. So be there!
Our Christmas Party was a lot of fun and all had a great time. The Church was a great place to have it. Thanks to our members who worked to decorate and all those that cleaned up.
This is the month that we all pay our dues to the club, so bring your money or send a check to Donna Gains.
Congratulations to Doug and Susan Martin, they are proud owners of a living quarters horse trailer and a new truck to pull it with. May they have many wonderful times camping.
We all thank Bob Harrison for getting our Dec. Newsletter out.
Bob had open heart surgery. He keeps our blog so nice. We all send our best wishes to you Bob for a speedy recovery!
I am looking for more things to put in our newsletter, it would be so neat to have a member each month do a page on anything they want to write. It could be about a ride you went on , or something funny that happened to you, give this a thought and come to the meeting and lets see what we can come up with.
A reminder to all. There are two trailers at Mt Valley Feed Store for sale, one is Darrell new two horse that they are selling. It’s a good deal and you can save money. Also they have their big LQ horse trailer for sale too at a real, real good price. You can save thousands. If you wait too long it may be gone!
It takes us all to make this club work, so I hope we all can plan this next year with everyone‘s input.
